I just got the game today. Ok installed it had al on. black screen with sound found out you have to use the games al. Ok I finally get into the game and my gosh. You would not believe the flickering and vast amount of artifacts (half the time her eyes are out of her head half way across the screen just for starters).. It makes the game unbearable.
I tried putting my card back at stock, turned af off. Didn't work. Prince of persia, max payne 2, call of duty, etc all run flicker free.
I have installed the 1.1 patch too!
I'm really lost here as to why it would do this.
Thanks in advance.
System specs below.

If i look on that game case or in the booklet and find the infamous nvidia the way its meant to be played im gonna do something..... crazy

Ok i found out what it was
I disabled hardware vertex processing and no more artifacts and flickering. With this said, is there something wrong with my card or is it just the game?
I don't get any flickering in 3dmark 01 or 03 on the vertex and pixel shader tests or any other for that matter.

I would imagine it's a driver problem. I'm sure nVidia will release new drivers soon that'll fix it :)

yeah, I have to agree.

in the meantime, maybe try an old driver....sometimes that helps.
yet, if everything looks good, and runs well....leave it alone.

Ok
I used riva tuner and enabled pixel shader 1.4 and vertex 1.1 it seems to be doing fine now so its good. I didn't try forcing 2.0 vers but I will later.
Anyways the game is pretty sweet.
I know you may say the graphics are animated but comparing this to zelda on my gamecube this wins by far. (not that the gamecube is that powerful but anyways)
This game is worth getting from the look of things. I'm an hour and a half in it. You actually have a partner that you have to rely on for certain things. I like the way games are starting to do this rather than being a hardcore commando. Also it looks like you can upgrade your hovercraft with new stuff that kills. Also you can buy other stuff for yourself.

the game is pretty fun...its short...although i never finished it because the last boss was just tooo anyoying to finsh because your controls are switched around...i got so frustrated i just exited and uninstalled...

I got the game as well a while ago, I agree it rocks! It's fun and the story and stuff is good.

About the graphical problems, I'm running a GeForce 3 Ti 500 and found out that any driver older than 53.04 (not really sure about 53.03 or 52.16) gave me the total graphical corruption. I havent tried running it with 56.64 but I think it should be fine. Also, turn of AA as it massively screws up ur framerate.

So just go 56.64, if u havent already, and see how it goes.

tried the 56.64 driver.

TOTAL SHUTDOWN

Windows loaded fine, but as soon as I started any game,my computer would reboot. This driver has sume wierd stuff bundled in it.

turn off the vertex shader option in game options. that fixed mine. also be sure to have the patch for the game to use antilasing. i think if you have any of that turned on under the vga card option part the game screen will be black so you have to use games al.
