I just get my DFI LP nF4 SLI-DR eXpert motherboard yesterday, and I have big trouble after install this motherboard into my system.

CS:Source, NFS9 DEMO(Most Wanted) runs very strange, the graphic extremely un-smooth, and frames are jumping very quickly, CS: Source also has the problem.

I used the latest nF4 chipset driver and graphic card driver. Can Not solve the problem. And I swapped both of my 7800GTX to X700Pro, OCZ PC4000EB 2GB Kit to G.Skill 1GB ZX, re-install WindowsXP SP2, still can't slove the problem. and During the WIndows XP Installation, system stay at "Installing Device" for long time, then I have to restart to finish the WinXP Installation. After re-install a freash WindowsXP SP2, problem still exist. I haven't tried the other 3D program.

My System didn't overclock at all, and tried load the default BIOS setting, no helping at all.

My system hardware is:
AMD Opteron 170
DFI LP nF4 eXpert
XFX 7800GTX EE
Raptor 74G
OCZ Powerstream 600W
Poinner DVD+-RW
Logitect LX700+Diamondback mouse

Is this mobo has bad RAM compatiblity???? Please Help...!!!! I am going to cry for it!!!! :(

Your hardware sounds fine as long as you give them the specified voltages, may be your windows disk is corrupted, i had that happen on a scratched disk some files weren't installed but could boot into an unstable windows.
Good luck

I haven't tried the CPU Driver, I will try it now, but it don't seems a cpu problem??

And the Windows XP Disc is new, It has no problem.

its a symptom of dual cores and gaming. do a search on these forums and dfi-street. there's a big thread on it over there.

run memtest through the bios make sure your ram isnt bad or something. is the problem windows is bad?, windows is good but games are bad? or windows good, games good, overclocking is bad?

Do you have A64 Tweaker installed? I know that seemed to cause some considerable issues for me at least it was running windows like crap and very unstable.

I dont know if its the same issue, but when i tried running half life 2 on my x2, I had to start the game, then go to desktop and open task manager and set the affinity for the game to either cpu 0 or cpu1, but not both. that made my fps smooth.

I installed the AMD64 DRIVER, now the problem seems gone. Still testing..

Hmm if the driver anit the problem, try another PSU to try out sometimes PSU go bad and cuz u off on proformance..... or sometimes random reboots

I am using OCZ Powerstream PSU, should be alright.

But this Opteron 170 very bad, only hit 2.5GHz

I'm not even that far yet. I'm trying to figure out why the hell my winstall goes cuput when I test for the htt limit...

Just installed the AMD Driver (the one from May?) I noticed it added the /usepmtimer switch.
