It takes one heck of a machine to fold a -bigadv WU in 4 hours. Probably an 8P rig. A 2600K @ 4.8 GHz takes 1.5 days to fold a p6900 bigadv WU. I don't think you're actually folding -bigadv. Post up the log and I'll let you know. In any event, it takes at least 15 days to qualify for the bonus on bigadv WUs with a 2600K and you will qualify in 3 days on regular SMP work. Once you've got 10 regular WUs done, then add the flag. There is a huge difference in ppd with and without the bonus.

1.5 days huh? well guess im not doing bigadv... Last project i did was 7140 i assume bigadv is strict 6900?

Alright ill get on those 10 standard units!!! :D Then add the -bigadv flag

p2684 to p2692 and p6900 to p6901 are 6 core -bigadv. P6903 is a 12 core -bigadv.

No. 12 real, virtual or logical cores will do.

@ fall
You should get HFM to monitor your client(s) (unless you're running v7 of the client).

ChasR, are we still current on this? Is #6 advmethods off ....is that off by default? What happens if its on? I missed looking at this when I ran config. I would prefer to not stop (and run config again if I don't have to.

Thanks
