Bigger Tubing ?

Are there any tests/reviews out there that prove or disprove the merits of wider tubing over narrower stuff ?

Im not sure i understand why wider tubing would be any better than smaller tubing. The more flow you have the less time the water spends in the block transferring heat away from the CPU and also teh less time it spends in teh rad getting cooled down .. surely like pumps, its about hitting a sweet spot ?
