I tried the abit online bios flash and received an error.thought i would try again later and shut down computer.on reboot i recived checksum error.i have used this computer to try to flash bios through a:\ but i have no numbers.they wont type any #'s.the bios is for my kt7a and all bios's have a 7 in them so i cant flash!any ideas? i tried clearing cmos but that doesnt work im afraid i have no bios at all.please help if you can!thanks

I know nothing about online bios flashin', or the Abit KT7A.
The only thing i know is when something goes wrong while flashin' your bios NEVER EVER shut down your box or try to reboot.
So you might have a serious problem.
Option 1:eek:rder a new bios chip (Eprom)
Option 2:eek:rder a new mobo
Option 3:Wait till someone else has a solution. (maybe someone you know has one of these dual boot device's and the same mobo so he can copy his bios into yours).<---- I hope this makes sense(I'm a drunk dutch bastard)

Sorry
Good luck

i guess i wasnt thinking simple enough! i put the bootdisc in my old computer and renamed the kt7_yh.bin to kta_yh. bin and entered that in its place and flashed it.man i thought it was a goner for awhile.if you havent tried abits online bios flashYOU MAY WANT TO WAIT TILL IT WORKS! if you do have a spare computer and beer onhand.
