http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Support/BIOS/BIOS_GA-K8NS Ultra-939.htm
I may flash it tonight just to see if anything new is there aside from dual core support, like a 183 memory divider or more vdimm perhaps?
Ok I went and flashed to F7 just to see if there was anything of value.
Most of the changes were made in the Advanced Chipset Features section of the bios.
There is new memory dividers it seems, on F6 we had a choice of 100, 133, 166, 200, now we also have 216, 233 ,250 oddly enough.
There is a new line under memclock called Memclock index value which wasnt there before, where these cahnges can actually be made.
They have added a function called:
Bottom Of 32 bit [31:24] IO
I have no idea what that is
And they added
Mem Remap (4GRam Support)
Another addition
Read Preamble Value
Another addition
Async Latancy Value
Missing from the advanced chipset features menu is the
Refresh Period (TREF) settings.
which was present in the F6 bios....
No added vdimm for you guys that were wondering.
Only other thing I see different aside from them renaming features that were already there in 3 or 4 instances was they added
USB memory value set to shadow by default or can be changed to 640K base memory.
I found myself looking for settings I couldn't find because gigabyte decided to rename them haha.
I had no probs flashing and booting into windows after, only thing I see now is when i try to open my NVmonitor it gives an error saying no bios support now ???
I cannot overclock with this bios because I am waiting on some ram, I'm actually using 512 corsair at the moment while I wait for me new OCZ 4200's
I will have overclocking results with the bios soon as I get them.
