Please Help me!!!

(I have a FIC AZ11E Motherboard with an AWARD BIOS)

Heres whats up!! I got a peice of software with my motherboard, the software is called "logo genie" and is used for changing the logo on start, which was at the time the Motherboard logo "FIC" so i decied to take it of with the logo genie software but little did i know that it would try and flash my BIOS and it damaged my BIOS. Does any one know what to do Please.

I downloaded a new copy of the BIOS from FIC's site along with award flash utillity and when i put on a floppy and put it in it loaded up FLASH MEMORY WRITER v7.66 and went so far and said:

"Flash Type - unknown Flash

File Name to program :VDC44 .BIN

Error message: Unknown Flash type"

What does this mean? Any help would be welcome.

Thanks.

Is the computer still working? if so get on another pc and load the Awards Bios Utility on that floppy with the xxxx.bin and reflash. If the computer is not, check to see if it is the newer BIOS that can default back (reset CMOS I think? or check you MB manual). Other options, pull the BIOS out and hot swap it with another unit and proceed the flash (I wouldn't recomend this unless you are sure you know what you are doing. I have to reflash my BIOS on one of my computers after it launched in Windows ...bad thing.. but I gt it up with a hot swap from another and flashed it properly.

Just a WAG, but is there supposed to be a space in the filename, as there is in your post?

(WAG=wild *** guess)
