okay, i have a micron millennia with a BCM IN440ZX mobo. people told me that i should flash my bios. i went to bcm site and found the proper file and followed all the instructions to flash. when the flash was over and it said i could shut down or restart my computer i did. i turned it back on and it didnt boot!!!!! my monitor would not turn on or anything. could someone please tell me what i have done or how i can fix this? here is the site where i got my flash http://bcmcom.com/tech/support-start.htm

you might've used the wrong flash.
or maybe when you updated, the new bios didnt' support sometyhing. try taking everything out, (exp cards) and leave only the mobo, cpu and dram modules in. plug the internal spk on the MB, and listen for beeps. tell us where you get with this one.

i tried it and nothing. maybe micron has some block on the bios or something i dont know. is there anything on the board that i can jumper or short to clear the bios? if i cant fix this mobo it will be an excuse to get a be62, that will solve all my problems. if anyone knows any more than i do please leave a reply, i am in need

Look for a Clear CMOS jumper on the board or in your documentation. If you can't get it going, you can send the BIOS here for a cheap fix.

You can also clear yout bios by pulling out the CMOS battery and wait 5 seconds and put it back. After that your bios is restored.

If all else fails, there are people that can burn the BIOS outside of the Motherboard (like me). Usually they don't charge more than $15 to fix your BIOS PROM, but the system would be out of commission for a couple of days (shipping time). You simply send the PROM, they burn it, you get it back all happy...

Hope you have good luck

i just said screw it with that crappy board. my be6 2 is in the mail. that bcm board only had jumpers for 66/100mhz fsb and the multi is locked on chip so i couldnt overclock. it was micro atx also. im slowly building my new computer using parts from the old millenia. thanks everyone who posted
