do i uninstall the old 4in1's? or can i install right over them? i know this can be an issue w/nF2 drivers...also, does anyone use live update or whatever program that is to flash their bios? i'm a little wary of using a windows based utility to flash bios...thanks all....

You should be able to install over top the old drivers and all be fine. But its always better to be safe than sorry and remove the old ones first. Murphy has a funny way of sneaking up on you when you least expect it.

I tired the Asus version of the windows style BIOS update. Didn't like it and for some reason it didn't work. So I still update in a DOS format.

just updated everything on my old trusty K7T266Pro2-RU. 4-1, Promise Raid, and bios (from 3.1 to 3.7). I'm using Raid for the first time so I figured I'd just get everything up to date. Used the automatic update thing for all three. Did not remove the 4-1 first and all went well.

The bios update does write to a floppy and then boots from that. It says that if the flash fails you can just boot with that floppy by holding Ctrl-Home. I didn't have to do that.
