I have a 8KNXP.
and i pathed the bios with the new F5 bios:bang head. and rebooted it, now the bios wont start my pc and i am not getting past CPU ident, this is now when Dual Bios should come in and save my ***.
nop notin, aint even commin so far so i and do emergency recover, not even the floppy comes alive.

ive done CMOS clearing, thief cmos clearing. PSW_CLR.

GA told me that sometimes it happens that @BioS flashes the wrong bios and flashes the DualBios. seems pretty weird. so theres is no rescue for my rather than RMA my board:mad: if i cant get it to live.

any one have the same problem or can help me. cant hotflash beqause the bios is not removable:temper: should have saved me. GA still recommends Bios flashing in DOS, then wy sending with ****ty ware like @BioS

:( I just had the same problem with my new board. What I am going to tell you you wont like. You are locked out of your sustem permanently. I researched all the way to GigaByte and they told me that what they think happened is that both bios chips got flashed wit the wrong version and now neither of the bios chips will start up you machine. The only solution was to replace the mobo, not a peasant thought, but if you figure the cost of having your mobo repaired by GigaByte versus the cost of replacement ??? I ended up replacing my mobo. PS. I also unloaded the @BioS program. I don't trust it "needless to say" this was a major pain in the 'derriere' Good luck bud !!!

i did send it to the Netherlands for a RMA, i think Gigabyte should make the bios loosable so you can reprogram it yourself and get rid of that @BioS software.

maybee even make the Bios Jumper abled again.

Same thing just happened to me! HELP! What do I do next, Will I have to pay $ for their misstake? I used their software to flash their files and it screwed me. wtf! I am ****ed. Payed 200+ bucks for this headache.

Did you use @BioS?
actually hardware makers still recommend using ordinary flashing methods as dos, im never gonna usa any Gui based flash program again that have anything to do with the major system.

ive been without a own PC for 3-4 weeks now and its quite boring.

well when it comes to BIOS and dealers they are pretty strain with wrong flashing. Hear with you nearest GigaByte support via Telephone, email sucks.

Yes it was that god awfull @BioS poop. The CD is like here, free great software we invented, load it up woohoo! They should not include such a dangerous program on the installation disk.

No. If it was good it would verify the files content and then stop the flash if it wasnt correct. I made a booboo and hit the awflash progam on some fancy XP bootdisk I made to try and get it going again. It started up on MY XP box in windows... I was like rutrow, this dont look good. But it said chipset not supported and didn't execute anything. Didnt hurt it either. If its not 100% dont put it on a install disk! Dumbass Gigabyte. The RMA guy was like yeah, yeah, yeah, no prob, send it back. Seemed to know what I was talking about before I said it. Must be a BIG problem for them. Guy seemed weary from all the calls.
