i was roaming through the bios options on my mobo and stumbled across shadowing...it says it saves the bios to the ram so its acessed alot faster and cuts down boot time...does anyone know what this does or if it works???? or how to enable it or is there a speical flash i have to do???ok well thats all...oh one more thing this is kinda in the wrong section but say i oc'd my p4 and when i tryed to boot it it made a noise and i couldnt get anything to come on...not even to the bios screen??? so i jumperd it and it was all goo d...but does that mean i need to give it more power and whats the scale for power to fsb...is it experimental and can you fry your cpu pretty easy i assume...ok well thanks

you're exactly right on what BIOS Shadow does- it copies the contents of your BIOS over to RAM, where it can be accessed a lot quicker. It's pretty much outdated now, and can almost always be safely turned 'off' to save some memory.
