need some major help with this.
I had windows 98. got the update and now i have windows 98se. that all went fine. but after i rebooted and checked my sys. props.---device manager the "Promise Ultra 100 IDE Controller Driver" what missed up. so i removed it and restarted and it went into safe mode. long story short, i have to remove it again in safe mode to get it to start up.
So i downloaded the new driver for the Promise 100 from Asus. no good same problem as before.
What to do now? do i need to upgrade my bios to fix all this? I have the A&V with the origanal bios. what is the newest and best one out and where do i get if if that is the problem?
