Hi all

I have the Asus A7V133 M/B I want to update the bios to the new version 1004 in the instrucions on flashing the bios it says When you see the message "Boot block is different" you may still press Y to update the bios
Yet if the update fails, you run greater risk of boot failure depending on whether the boot block is damaged or not..Has anybody had any promblems with this M/B updating the bios

Thanks for any help

Yes that can be a problem. You have bios 1001 on there now? They did have a problem with that(I just ran into it with mine). Telling you have it does not match-a problem on asus's part, but after you flash it you will not have the problem again. Asus's fix is to download the lastest flash updater-it can be found here http://www.asus.com.tw/products/motherboard/bios_tools.html#asusupd then flash the bio's. Or you can use aflash. You can find some good info on the problem here http://www.amdmb.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=27572

goodluck,
rob
