Here's my idle and load temps (cpu-burn in for load) with SpeedFan v4.33.
Notice what I've boxed in red... those are what showed greatest change from load, but 15c and 8c idle??? It's all off, man...

Here is SPD table from CPU-Z for my OCZ plats... it's definitely not right as they're rated 4-4-4-15 for 400mhz, and I think at 1.9-2.1v range.

There are two Core Temps, but there is only on CPU temperature sensor on the motherboard, so you will only get one accurate temperature reading.

The Biostar Overclocking Utility is indeed unusable, but the monitoring utility is one of the easiest ways to read to correct temperature off of the motherboard sensor.

the monitoring utility tells me like 24-25c idle and just a couple degrees more load IIRC.. i'll check again and post a screenie maybe... it seemed OFF, so that's why i stopped using it.

thx tho...

will that work on any TForce board? I'm assuming it does.

Btw, I couldn't find anything on the biostar tw website when i was looking to DOWNLOAD drivers for my TF570 sli... i had to use the audio drivers on disc...

p.s. ~$40 shipped open box TF520 @ egg

Yes, it does.

I think you have to go to the actual TW website, eg. not in english. That's how I found the 5 BIOS updates they put out for my board. They aren't even on the english site, as of now. Nice boards at least, CS sucks, but hopefully getting better.

something else,
at least one of the readings from core-temp (0.95.4) reads within a degree of the biostar utility.

well
a little bit late to the party
decided to keep it at stock for awile
but
now iam overclocking it
and iam impressed

revision 1.3 tforce 550
bios N5TAAB16 shipped

havent messed with lower cpu multi's

went as high as htt320 and 9.5x with 5,5,5,15,20 400divider 2t
i think the Vcore was about 1.475 or 1.5v
but bios shut system off at 60 degree

scythe fan was suckin and not blowing and kinda wimpy
while running orthos
prob stable if i used a more aggressive fan
i need to mount it over ram slots to blow thru fins
also
prob need to put some artic silver on north bridge

stable at htt300 9.5x vcore1.425 400divider 4,3,3,9 1t
dosent like the 533 divider with 1t though

working with 533 divider and 2T
i got
htt295 vcore1.4 ht@887(x3) 4,3,3,9,15 2T vdimm2.0v
all other mem timings auto
memtest says 2890mb/s and duel channel
pretty good at 2809 mhz and ddr802(i think)
gonna see how far i can keep these timings while bumpin up htt

with 533 divider setting in bios
cpuz reports divider is 8 for 351mhz x2 or ddr702
but memtest reports divider at 7, 401mhz x2 ddr802
if so
pretty good for corsair xms 5400 ddr675mhz 4-4-4-12 1.9v rated ram eh

is cpuz not calibrated for 1/2 cpu multi's?
ie. 9.5x vs. 10x
this prob was answered somewhere
but i missed it

also
wondering if upgrading to 2@ 2g ram for 4g would werk
i think the manual says 16 g supported
i only have 3 slots usable
or
would it kill my overclock?

pretty fun so far
took me awhile to figure system didnt like 1T with 533 divider
even when at 2.1v
not willing to pump more into it either

def trickier then my ol nf7

1T timings and high memory speeds are not common in AM2 overclocking. It doesn't surprise me that CMD was holding back your memory clock. You get more performance from bumping up the divider one notch than you do by staying at 1T anyways, so don't worry about it.

nod nod

do u know why
sisoft and cpuz report 2X351mhz for /8 divider with 533 divider setting

but memtest reports /7 for 2x401 with 533 divider
and i believe i read others saying 533 with 3600bris
on this board gets ya a /7?

also
on a few sisoft benches
i get a warning only one cpu core is being utilized?
......

just checked cpuz on my raptor drive
it reports /7 for 2x402
so i guess its just cpuz on the test drive
but sandra from both drives reports 2x351
wierd

Has anyone tried overclocking 4x1gb of ram with this motherboard? I'm having a hard time getting my memory to run at stock with increased voltage and I'm wondering if there are some settings that will help with running 4 sticks. Any thoughts?

i havent tried it myself, but usually you need to loosen subtimings to get 4x1gb to play well, especially if the sticks are different. I would start with Max Async Latency to 10 or above and tref to 105 or 195ns.

Thanks for the help funnyperson. I set the tref (called something different in my bios) to 127.5, because 105 didn't cut it. Now I've got the ram at 375Mhz, which is closer to stock, but I have my cpu running at 3.0Ghz, which is awesome.

has anyone else had problems with the NVIDIA IDE drivers? It crashed my system BSOD after trying them out... I gave up and went without... Now my Hard drives which are attached via a PCI addon SATA card are terribly slow... onboard is somewhat better... This was unrelated to the slowness that the BSODs started with the IDE drivers.

so no comments on the more recent bios?
do they simply add the higher multis for the black box chips?
