i work at bestbuy, we have the "doorbuster" deals from 6am-noon and it does included outrageous prices on items...and yes people start lining up outside the store at like 1:30am...and by like 4am the line is well out into the parking lot/streets..we have people go along and give people cards that ensures them the good deal on the item, since they have been waiting and are ready...you jsut need to bring an ad, show the person what items your going for and its yours.

last year the bb here didnt do that(hand out cards/tickets), so I ended up getting nothing, cause the ones(got there at 5:55) that rushed the doors ran us over, it was a horrible mad house, I left the store soon after 6am, and havent bought anything at bb since. IMO that was very poor for the mgt.

2 years ago the BB near me gave out doughnuts and coffee when the first employees showed up. Last year they didnt give out crap but did do the ticket thing.

they did it to us last year, they allowed like 10 in at a time, i was like you a**'s, they went and grabbed almost everything i wantewd, then when i got in, i grabbed the last 2 hds that wanted for 50 bucks..plus some other stuff,, the true techies know the good deals...

Last year, I got there at 10AM and the lite-on $10 52X CDRW with rebate just ran out of stock...so they gave me a 52x TDK burner for the same price...but I didn't need to do the rebate. What a bargain!!
