I'm just not feeling it for BF 2006. The only deal that excites me is the Samsung 19" LCD at Bestbuy and I already have a Samsung 930BF I've been really happy with for almost a year. I really had my hopes pinned on the fry's ad hoping for a good deal on a 400-500GB hard drive or a good MoBo/CPU deal and was really disappointed. And I already have a HDTV

So I'm staying home and sleeping in

So what the verdict for the rest of you?

Oh and for those of you thinking about waiting in line for the Samsung 19" at best buy consider the above a ringing endorsement that it might be worth your while if it's anything like a 930BF

Going to microcenter around midnight w/ a lawn chair and a cooler full of beer . I'm definately buying one of the olevias, a few hdd's, and they have a 19" monitor for like $90 I may pick up as well. I really don't need another monitor but can't resist the price :bang head
Then I may head over to home depot or lowes and pick up a finishing nailer :D

I'll be at Best Buy. It's me first time there so I don't know what to expect. I think if I get there at 1:00am i should have a good chance of getting everything I want.

Then I have to drive home 20mi, dump my bro and loot off, and drive back for work :p I was planning to go to a LAN after work too but I think I'll just be too burnt out to care.

Do you really need to line up at best buy that early? Cuz don't they just open the doors and let everyone in anyhow? I want that 22'' Westy but not sure what time to get there.

i'm looking to get some more cheap laptops from best buy.,

none of the other stores has anything that interests me.

Lining up at Best Buy about midnight tonight for the HP Core Single laptop.

If you are first in line you have the best chance of running to where the stuff you want is first.

Does Bestbuy actually let people in in order of the line? What if you showed up right when they openned up, could u walk in or would u have to get in line? I understand lines for a single product like the ps3 or wii but does anyone know how it actually works for BF?

I am going to go for it. I am going to camp out at CompUSA, I had better be first in line considering I haven't scoped out exactly where everything is, plus I plan to get 2 Hauppage TV tuners, one for me and a buddy, then I am going to load up on as many Netgear Super G routers as I can possibly afford. In the mean time, my mom will be doing the same at Circuit city, getting her, her friend, and I 2gig Sandisk Cruzer Micro's, and then loading up on as many 1 gig Sandisk Cruzer minis for 3.99 as she can possibly get her hands on.

And I also think I am going to get an 8 gig Creative Zen Micro Photo at Circuit City as well. I am pi:mad::mad:ed that it doesn't do video though, it has a full color screen, all it needs is to support video format!!!!!!!!! But noooooo....

There is no saying that you have to wait in line to get into a store, but if you cut there will be 300 VERY angry people doing everything they can to make your BlackFriday living hell.

A friend of mine is currently standing in line at one of the Best Buys here in Indy, He got there at 4:00 this afternoon and is #13 in line, #1 in line got there at noon. My friend is after one of the Laptop specials and the E-Machines with 15" lcd and printer for $180 something.

Sounds like BestBuy is where its at BF2006. Although sleeping in is getting a lot of votes. If your sleeping in is it because there just wasn't a deal for you or would you sleep in no matter what.

In my case I wanted a deal to be out early for just couldn't find one

I've actually never done 'early' black friday shopping by going before a store opens. How do the different places work it, especially with lines? Let in a limited amount of people at once? Just open the floodgates and let people stampede? Give out numbers?

Every one I've been to they just open the doors and people run in like mad! When I used to work at circuit city they made me work on black friday...I quit the next day
Went to compusa last year and almost got into several fights, I was trying to browse and people kept pusing and shoving me and such. I remember seeing on the news several fights breaking out at wal-mart. I'm hoping to be one of the first in line at microcenter so I can just chill with my beer and energy drinks in my lawn chair. I better get a nap first though because I'll have a lot of running around the store to do, finding the various items on my list :D

I've seen all three. Sometimes on XBOX/PS3 lines the police will show up especially if the store has had problems in the past.

If you spot an an employee before the store opens (usually someone has a peek about 5-10 minutes before the store opens) you might give him an earfull about the store having a responsibility to supervise the line when the store opens. And if they don't and you have line cutters find the manager and give him an earfull because he deserves it.
