anybody ever think of putting a black light inside their case with a window and then take whatever symbol u want and but it on the side with a stencil and a highlighter...you would just have to find the stencil...I was gonna do a biohazard symbol. Has anybody tried this...I was gonna take 2 black lights 12" each and place them vertically on the front left and back left of the case. Then i could outline the edges of my cards etc....maybe put some yellow or green led's so they would be ultra glow with the black lights.

Highlighters show up rather weak. if you want to paint the edges of things you should try UV varnish.
It you want to make a huge edge, first make a stencil.

If you actually want an etching effect spray on some etching creme. Then spray on some clear neon spray in your favorite color.

If you want an "invisible" etch that only shows up under black light, skip using the the etching creme.

Clear Neon Spray is only $10 per can at clearneon.com
It's quick, comes in 8 different colors, sprays on clear, and glows ultra-bright under blacklights.

I used it to spray my fans and Rounded cables so they eerily glow through my case widnow. One can goes a really long way.

ok thx a lot i will keep this in mind and anybody who doesn't know what a black light is has completely skipped the 70's.

i wasn't even alive for the 70's and i know what a black light is. I gonna get 2x 12" ones for 5$ each. I also gonna get some plexiglass for the window.

hair spray really glows well under black light, we did this at a friends place all over his walls, was really freakiy but the walls were perfectly normal with the regualr lights on!

is hairspray flammable once it goes on walls??? I Imagine yes. If it is I bet its fun to watch.
LOL! thats evil! when done properly blacklights look really cool.

You should paint the tops of the capacitors as well as the outline of all of the boards. that would look even cooler.

i was planning on doing all of this. It would stray from the average lighted case. Besides.....everyone has their own ideas.

I have some uv reactive liquid that I got from eighter zxmods, or overclockers-hideout not sure which. I think it is supposed to be "non-conductive". I bet one could use it to coat capacitors...but Im not going to be the one to find out:).

when painting the tops of the capacitors, the paint doesnt need to be non conductive (un less you are going to get messy and spill it all over) the metal on top of a capicitor is all 1 piece so you dont have to worry about shorting the cap. out. (BTW capacitors are the things that look like cans.)

Actually the stuff is almost like water it run all over the place, the best way to do a capasitor I think is to maybe put whiteout or white paint on top let it dry, then try a highlighter or maybe my uv liquid. I tried putting the uv liquid on a fan, it would run off intill I put white out on the fan (too small of fins for notecards), then put the stuff on the white out. The fan I did turned out less then perfect notecards with highlighter is the way to go but..oh well:eh?: you think they look like cans??? I always kinda thought they looked like giant nipples. IMHO

I don't think it was any more flammale than the wallpaper we put it on :p . Looked really cool though! I've also seen some reall neat things with flourecent orange paint! Its wicked also.

you could use a hole punch for the notecards if u wanted to put it on the capacitors. I getting a new mobo soon anyway.....ps does anyone know if the Abit KG7 mobo will support the xp chips or just up to the 1.4 tbird.

I've never thought of that. Its almost too easy. I think I'll give it a try tonight after the room gets darker. I won't be able to post pics though. :(

do u mean the idea for the notecards?

Might be neat if you had a blacklight in your room and painted the whole case with hairspray or something similar. or for another idea... if you have case fans... paint the blades!
