that's very far fetched assumption. Yes one could use anything for illegal purposes but that's up to the person. Even a reader can be used to read illegally made material mind you.

BTW this is a competative price but not by any means a steal that should convince you to go out and buy one. If you are already considering a blu-ray drive then this is a good option but its not like this price is massively better then it is elsewhere.

I can already rip BR movies to a DVD9 disk if i choose too, or owned any movies, for backup purposes, or rip to my harddrive.....

So , why do you got a DVD burner? or a CD burner? silly pirate!
