I don't get why most new games are "souls-like". I mean that for most players, the difficulty of these games is too high. As much as I wish to play it, I see no fun in spending 1h+ on beating a single boss, so I'm not convinced to even try it. I saw that this game is not as hard as some others recently released, but for many players, it still turns an interesting title into meh in 30 mins and $60 spent.
If I'm right then all new higher Nvidia cards (RTX4070+) have it for free.
Edit:
Maybe it's too late as today was announced that Star Wars Outlaws will be for free with new RTX4070+ cards.

I only saw the initial DigitalFoundry video on it earlier today. Good overview of the techniques used to implement the game. No optimised settings from them yet.

Based on the benchmark RT Medium looked bad in places. I'd go RT Very High or not a all.

Did the game bomb so hard they need to give it away now? I heard a ton of controversy around it.

Game comes out next month. Those that have had some early play of it have largely reported positivity.

The controversy I think is largely the stupid extra editions and I imagine some amount of anti-woke bs by having a female as the character or something

Wukong was free for a month and it was expected to be good. I thought it was still free, but today I noticed the announcement about the Star Wars game being free with the same cards. It's a Ubisoft game and most of their games are free with graphics cards - Assassin's Creed, FarCry series, and some more. I actually have 4 or 5 of their games that I got for free with graphics cards or CPUs. I remember that FarCry 6 was free with CPUs and the game had nearly a year of delay, so I had the game code registered but couldn't download it for about a year.

Solid reviews... I guess there were 2.2M concurrent players on Steam or something at one point?

I saw the news that most players are from China. The game seems pretty good and looks great. No wonder people play it (especially when there are not many other new and good games).

Same with PUBG. If there's 300K playing in NA, it's like 25K, lol.

It's not my genre and doubtful I'd pay for it, but I agree it looks good. :)

I enjoyed Hellblade II and it looks great too ... but sadly it's short for my standards. I got it for free, so it's not a problem.
I was waiting for Wukong, but being souls-like and costing $60+ is not convincing me, and I missed the free game code promo by 5 days.

"After our look at the Black Myth: Wukong high-end PC experience, we're going back to basics with a look at optimised settings with a smattering of PS5-equivalent comparisons. Is the Full RT option actually scalable to lower-end hardware? What are the best settings to use on a more mainstream CPU and GPU combo? And what's the score with shader compilation issues and traversal stutter? Alex Battaglia and Oliver Mackenzie share notes."

00:00 Overview
01:09 Can we optimise Full RT?
06:29 Optimised settings for mid-range GPUs
24:38 Traversal stutter on mid-range CPUs
26:45 Shader compilation issues
32:05 Conclusion
