blu ray on xp?

hi all,

ive read some things that say that xp cant play blu ray because its not a hdcp os? is this true or just garbage?

im thinking of getting a blu ray drive and blu ray software, my gpu is hdcp and so is my monitor.

will i need to download some special drivers or something of windows??

It was quite a bit of trouble to set up to get it playing smoothly. I've made a thread and several other posts on how to do it exactly. It's relatively easy once you know what you're doing.

Powerdvd for blu-ray, windvd or WMP for DVDs, powerdvd blows for DVDs.

... didn't say using it for dvd... PowerDVD ultra works very well for BluRay which is what the thread is about... ;)
