I just recieved one of these chips from Newegg, yesterday.

Blue Core, 0347 (can't remember what letter code it is.) It is multiplier unlocked! I haven't tried the extra cache mod, yet. I'm burning it in, right now.

Last night, I was able to overclock it to 2 GHz @ 1.55 Vcore, very easily. It ran Prime95 for about 4 hours, before failing, so it probably needs a bit more juice, or it needs to be properly burned in. Before I left home, this morning, I set it back to default speed and 1.75 Vcore. I'll let it chew on Prime95 all day and see if it overclocks a little better, tonight.

When I do the extra cache mod, can I just fill the pit with conductive material, or do I need to insulate the pit and connect the traces?

*EDIT* This is an Applebred Duron, I'm speaking of.

Wow...it seems like about half of the people with week 47 chips are getting locked, and half are getting unlocked ones. Maybe there's a "mole" at AMD unlocking the chips:p.

you are talking about the thorton or the applebred right? mine is a barton 2500+. got a couple week 350's now, they have similar core colors. A steeping decode calls my 347 a "k300+" while calling the 350's "L300+" - I am wondering if there is some kind of core revision difference?

I should have specified. I'm talking about a Applebred Duron.

I did the cache enable hack, by filling the pit of the laser cut L2 bridge. It worked! I'm stress-testing, now, to make sure the cache is good, but I assume it probably is, since Windows is running just fine.
