Blue screen of death

I have unlocked my 1600+ and it works great @ with the multiplier set @ 10,but when I put it down to 9.5 I get the blue screen on boot up.
Is it because the CPU is shorting out,do I need to redo the unlocking procedure?
I have done it 3 times.I would like to get a lower multiplier and raise the FSB.
Any info would be great.Thanks

so it just works at one multiplier?
are you sure you filled in the pit correctly if not you might not be able to unlock the chip now.

No it works on a few,like 10 and 10.5,11 ,11.5.
So you think I don't have the pits filled enough??
