I built my own PC (spec in my siggy if i havent broken it)
When i first booted it up i used the floppy drive to get windows 98 (frist edition) on. Since then it has not worked
I tried all sorts of cable orientations. In the end i assumed it was broken cos it scratched some disks, so ig ot another one sent to me. This also does not work.
I even plugged both in at once.
Still nothing
Howevr the FDD from my old PC works when i put it in (same cable). So i am confused.
atm the access light stays on all the time, rather than jsut when its reading/writing.

Any ideas??

Ah, superb youw ere right

It was the FDD side that needed flipping though. It was upside down cos the space wehre the little tab goes wasnt clipped out (the little square was held on by two tiny bits)

Cheers dudes
