I just managed to get my system rock stable at 1001mhz with my VP6 and singlePIII 700e under winME. Im sitting at 1.85 volts.

Im not sure how much I could back off the voltage. It took quite a bit to get me stable at 1001. I had to hit -1c before winME would load without register errors.

The fun part was that I got my system this cool with the stock fan and heat sink. <No mods at all> Well one kinda. If I can dig up a digital camera I will snaps some photos to show how I did this.

So the next question is do you know of any mods to get more juice out of this motherboard? If I had more core I think I could squeez a bit more out of this poor puppy :)

What do you think the max voltage on this CPU should be?

Could u explain how u got to -1 with heatsink and fan i would love to read how u did this with a little bit of a mod maybe we all could to.

Warning! You have broken the laws of thermodynamics- DANGER DANGER

It's not possible to be at -1c unless the ambient temperature is also -1c. A heatsink can NEVER be cooler than the air around it...

Yes your very right. And I can assure you the ambient temp was well below 0c. Its something that really requiers a picture. Words just woudn't do it justice.

Well we're all waiting to see what kind of ice box you have. Enquiring minds want to know.

I'm just trying to scrounge up a digital camera. Give me a day or so. My secret to success is simply that I am Canadian and I have mother nature working on my side for 6 months out of the year. So don't expect anything fancy or revolutionary. :)

Unfortunately my MB only goes to 1.85v. I need more juice! anyone know of a voltage mod for the vp6 to get the higher voltage?

Skywanker (Feb 21, 2001 05:49 p.m.):
U shoud be able to run with a vcore @ 1.9
(i did!!) and push it op to 1050..

i'm only running 2x700E@[email protected],.... i need some good Ram.....

you guys automatically believe that all temp readings are correct.

i suspect the hardware monitoring is not correct on this one...it's too unrealistic.
