i'm pretty stoked. Was pondering an X800 or 6800GT, but said hey let me see what my soldering skills can get me.

Stock NP bench i did last year was like 5200.
Running with a flashed pro bios i hit 6000
Max overclock i could get was 424/322 stable without volt mods...My memory dropped cause of the higher core. Stupid Infineon!

So i said WTH and volt modded last night.

Been benching all day and just broke 7000 Great I think for a non pro with infineon RAM

Core 470 Memory 360. I think memory is pretty much maxed because anything higher and ATI Tool starts popping errors/artifacts.

Core shows a few white dots in nature test, but my games play fine. So for benching i left it. But for gaming I'm gonna run 455/360 cause that's what ATI tool maxes out at without artifacts.

Sometimes benching and overclocking is more fun then actual gaming. I'm just so happy to get this infinieon ram up to 360 stable.

Congrats bro  ..... I don't think they had those scores in mind when they started selling those cards.... just goes to show you what's hiding under the hood if someone wants to go looking for it. I can just imagine how good you feel. What are you using to cool that thing?

Thanks man,

I'm using one of those vantac ??? (I forget the name hehe cause i tore the sicker off, but heres a pic)

Yeah it's a really good feeling to breath new life into an older type card. I figure if it lasts me 6 more months or so without blowing up mission would be accomplished. By that time the next gen of cards will be out making the curreont ones much more affordable since I tend to buy a generation back anyway.

Oh BTW, my ram is smoking hot, I'm prolly gonna hit up some ram sinks from SVC this week just in case. But without them it ran for a few hours with the ATI tool, no problems.

sweet..... that's a trusty ole' vga silencer you got there. Your ram will appreciate some copper ramsinks.:p Your card is putting up scores as good as my 9800xt. You should be proud.;)

Any recommendations on ramsinks that will fit under this silencer and possible can be re-used if i ever upgrade my card?

Thx meng

hey no problem..... good luck with your search for more power..... just don't burn that thing up.... :p (feeling like I spent too much money on my 9800pro, when his card scores like mine)

I don't see any volt mods in that sig.. :p Do that and get back to me. I guarentee you whoop me. You've got the nice 2.8ns RAM!

thats some sick clocks even for infineon! This beats out many 9800xt's and 6800nu's and even comes close to x800pros and 6800gts except it has 8 pipes only but has the MHz! I had a 9800 pro that wouldnt really clock so I am frustrated. got a modded 9500 with ramsinks and silencer from some guy who said itll own 9800 pros, well the ram did 350 but I cant get the core past 300 without stuttering so I dont know whats up! I bought an unmodded 9500 this time, meh if it doesnt clock high ill just live with it, my a64 will make up nicely, also I can use my ti4200 in any games that run faster on it than a 9500 at 9700 clocks.
