broken socket tab

hey.

a mate of mine broke his socket 462 tab today whilst trying to mount a pelt. i saw a great fix on a site somewhere, but can't remember where. i've tried explaining to him over the phone what to do, but he doesn't get it. anyone got links to articles on this?
