I have a 1ghz T-Bird AVIA chip, I can run stable at 1.33ghz @1.8v.. I can however get it to post [email protected] with no problem, until winXP starts to load and just before it gets to main screen it dumps to blue screen.. Blue screen stats if this is the first time seeing this please do the following (which lists off check disk ect..) Have I hit the max this chip will do? or is there something else I should try..

I use 147FSB x 9.5Multiplier to achieve 1.4ghz
140FSB x 10 will not post at all..

runs fine at 140 x 9.5
or 133 x 10

see sig for setup..

Thanks..

I'd use the 140x9.5....thats not too bad for that chip...I however have never used WinXP....

I saw that screen many time with my old t bird AXIA 1200, at various OC'd speeds and one day the screen just kept no matter what speed i tried (even default 1200 @133 FSB). One of the things on that screen, if im not mistaken, says to go into the bios and disable BIOS shadowing, once i did that i never saw that screen again (of course I cracked the core on my t bird and upgaded to my athalon XP only a few days later). moral of the story: if you have BIOS shadowing enabled then diable it and give it a shot, if its already disabled i just wasted a few more precious seconds....

will give that a go.. will try later tonight, after Red Wings game =)
