Thanks for the replies, I should have worded it better so these are a few choices I think this is the best way to go,

Asus ATI 9200se/t 64mb
power colour 9200 se
Asus v9520 magic fx 5200 or any other 5200
also any of the mx440
which of these would be better many thanks.

the 9200 isnt too bad tho, you might want to get the 128mb and non se version. I played halo all the way thru on decent settings with that card.

Stay away from the 9200SE...... I Love ati but hate the SE.....lol

9100 is way faster then 9200, 9200SE, 9000 Pro, 9000. The 9200SE is the slowest of the bunch.

the mx440 owns all the others. well the fx5200s a little better but the ti4200 is still cheap and miles better

Dont get the 5200, they are SLOOOOOW. You would be better off with even a 64M TI4200. Even though the 5200 has "directX9 support" its too slow for that to be an advantage. The TI4200 is still zippy enough for pretty much everything out there. Of course you wont be playing Halflife 2 with max AA and AF but if you're on a budget the TI4200 is the way to go. Check the classifieds too, they go for cheap every once in a while. A friend of mine just got one for like 65 or 70 bucks.

Don't get the FX5200

I agree. I have one and replaced it with a PowerColor 9600XT. I know there are better cards than the 9600XT, but at least I feel I can play present and future games (to some extent). I went from less than 8,000 on aquamark3 to over 28,000. The DX9 of the FX5200 is not worth very much, unless you want to watch virtually a slide show.
