Building my first computer... i have questions

It makes sense that you would be correct but this cord dosnt plug into the PSU...

this is for a fdd floppy disk drive not a sata its a very small cable witch on old psus would be at the end of a "chain" of molex but they are pritty much dead tech

I think this is the cord... but since im at work I cant see the back side of the cord so I am not sure if thats what plugs into the PSU

That was the correct cable!


As for the power issue...
I created a new album in photobucket where I uploaded a few pictures. I'm not sure if they are good enough so if you would like a certain picture just let me know.
Also there is a short (6 second'ish) video of what happens when the power supply is hooked up and I hit the power button on the MOTHERBOARD.
The power button on the front does not work.

def looks as if the front panel is plugged into a usb port have you looked at the mobo book for referance

I really can't tell for sure, However it looks like the Power LED and the Power SWR need to switch places

wow what a wired mobo setup lol so its a dongle for the f panel def need to switch places on those pwr lead and pwr switch

Alright I see my mistake. It says front power supply. How do I know where +/- go? Trail and error?

I am in the movie theatre (seeing kickass) so I'll try it when I get home.

in my history of connecting fpanel stuff its never seemed to matter witch way you put it

The DIMM was seated in 1,3,5 and it is supposed to be 2,4,6

Thats fixed... Now onto the BIOS/OS
