Get that case off of that carpet! Apart from wll the dust itll pick up, if you have a bottom mounted powersupply, and i think you do, you arent letting it breathe on the carpet. Put it on a desk or at least a piece of wood on the floor.

I have black foam board cut into a tower size (two layers thick) and mine sits on that!

Not quite as solid as wood, but it looks PIMP!

nice looking rig.

While building a computer sounds complex it really isn't for the simple fact that things only fit where they are supposed to go!

And you know what parts are in it and you learn something new along the way.

lyngusitic, sometimes we all need a kick in the pants to do something outside our comfort zone. Kudos to you for having the gumption to build it yourself and good luck with the new rig.

Sometimes it's a hurdle to get the nerve up to do it, but you get to pick the components you want and in the end it's well worth it :bday:
Congrats on your 1st build
thanks! it was definitely worth it, now i have the confidence to keep building onto it!

Nice build! You're on the hook now. No going back !!

(PS: It feels pretty good, leaping another hurdle, huh? :attn:)
thanks! it feels great!

Crushin frames, Nice rig!
Only things missing are pics!!!

Edit, stupid work blocked the pic lol
looks great!
thanks! I'll get up more pics later of the inside.

Thanks for the tip, i put it on a piece of wood for now, waiting to build our new gaming desk sometime this week, for now itll sit on a piece of wood.

Thanks! it was alot easier then i had thought. I watched a video or two on building a gaming computer and it all went smoothly from there.

I'm glad you all pushed me into it, it was way better then any computer i ever expected to have. Playing skyrim now with ultra settings and high resolution textures with over 80 fps! Crazy! my old pc couldnt even play it on medium settings with that much FPS. Soo Happy. Now to wait for gta 5 to come to pc, That will be so much fun modding!.

Glad we twisted your arm to get you to build it, now if something does go wrong you'll have the ability to be able to fix it yourself. You also have something that you put together that you can be proud of.

Where in NJ are you? Im near the Commador Barry Bridge, there is a Microcenter in Philly, great place to get comp parts for a build. I could help ya build it as I've built many systems.
