Built-in protector on A7V133s

Has anyone else noticed the plastic protector at the ends of the Socket-A??
I must have put that HSF on 6 times since I have had that board and only last night realized it was there!

i think it's a random thing... cos my asus a7v133-c had 'em...
and it was 12 or 13 times before i noticed
