burning in is the process of torturing your processor with the fsb overclocked, to make sure that your chip will run stable at whatever speed you have it clocked at. some people say that after burning a cpu in, they were able to clock it higher. happy overclocking
I however must contradict jdmcnudgent the way I have been taught and heard of how to burn in is you run your fsb at the lowest it can go and push up your vcore as high as you reasonably can (but watch temps they must stay low) then you use a program like prime95 tourture test running 24/7 for a minimum of 3 days... the usual result is a better overclock using less voltage then it used to... hope that helps man
