i have another problem. i went to turn my machine on today and the power supply burnt out. i am running 3 90mm fans in the case along with the usual hardware(1HD, 1floppy, HS+3fans). my PS was 250W.
how much power do i need for this setup(w/o burning anything up)? i was looking at getting a full tower case w/a 300W PS. is this enough? or should i get 400W PS? thanks for any input.

300 PSU will be enough for your setup.
1x DVD ROM, 1x CD-RW, 2x 7200rpm HD, 1x Floppy, 1.2 T-Bird, GeForce2, NIC card, 2x 120mm, 1x 92mm, 1x80mm fans, 256 DDR SDRAM...etc..etc.
I'm running all these with 300W PSU.
