I have recently read that many laptop vendors are putting destop Pentium 4's into their laptops instead of Mobile Pentium 4's. This would result in shorter battery life. The mobile version has the ability to use less than 30 watts, while the destop version uses around 65 watts. The destop version would be used because they are cheaper and more readilly available.

The easiest way to tell if it's a TRUE mobile pentium 4 is by looking at the Intel Inside Logo. There should be an M right above the 4. I have attached the logo straight from the Intel website.

Wow, nice heads up. That would be one heck of a difference, although would it matter since the big companies would definitely include mobile processors...

That image would make one heck of an avatar.

Well, the bigger companies would use the mobile processor, but let's say your a little computer shop, why not swap the processor out. Just as long as they take the sticker off and put the desktop P4 Intel Inside logo back on, and don't advertise it as P4m, it's not illegal I don't think.

Ya, it might make a nice avatar, if you had the amd logo crushin it or something :D :D
