Buying combo.

Iv decided to buy an amd anyway I was wondering if you guys could reccomend any mobo/cpu combos. Im looking to spend maybe 120 or so. Im not lookin for anything special mobo wise. Just 2usbs,a agp,4 pci's,and a gig of ram support. Thanks for the help. Also im not stupid im just asking this because I usually get screwed over everytime I get a new mobo due to compatability.

The Abit NF7-S is a wonderful board with many options, and is definatley worth a look. It goes for $120 at www.excaliberpc.com, and cheaper at www.newegg.com, but excaliber guarantees the revision 2, which is what you want.

$120 for a combo? If you can open up your wallet a bit more and spring for a low end Nforce2 and 1700+ for about $140 you'd be better for it down the road.

i agree with the previous poster, get a 1700+ they are reasonably cheap and you can overclock those mofo's to da mooooon
