Buying Opinion PLease

I currently have a 3200+amd64 winchester running stable @ 2750mhz.
I have been considering buying a 148 opteron (with good stepping).
Should I? Or shouldn't I?

What was your logical thought process to make you buy the new chip?

There was all that talk about them not being made anymore and I wanted one before they were all gone. Other than that my Winnie @ 2.7 was fine. I was just impatient for some new toys.

My winnie is fine too, but this Opteron toy is just too hard to resist!

It hasn't performed unfortunately
I could gut my current machine for it's PSU and HDD and just finish it, but I know if I do that I'll never get around to replacing the parts and it'll just sit there. So I'm waiting until after Christmas when I've got a better idea of how my finances are looking to finish it. I've got the parts selected as you can see from my sig but not the money lol.
