I don't know which to buy I can take one of these 2 kit.

-Gemini Spiral
-Eheim 1250
-Heater core painted black
-DD reservoir ( won't buy it )
(all 3/8'')
185$CDN + shipping from Toronto to Montreal

or

-D-Tek TC-4 Poly top w/ a small crack ( maybe going to need alu top)
-Danner Mag Drive 5
-Heater core
140$CDN no shipping

Both are used... Is there a risk in using it used...

holy crap, the tc-4 one is a TON beter, a danner pump, much higher performance than eheim, tc-4, again, much higher performance than gemini spiral, heatercore(both of them ahve it) and the second system is 1/2" tubing, I would definately get the second one and a new top.

definatly 2nd set-up...
only problem w/ used set-ups is you cannot be sure if it is leak-free...
you would definatly want to change the top in the tc-4

Punisher i Third that....The second setup is better not to mention cheaper. Yes you can get a different top if it is cracked just email danny(at Dtek) and ask him if he will replace it for you.

Good luck!

who says the eheim is a better pump?
Do you know how good danner pumps are? they are just as reliable, and have TONS more pressure and flow.

the second one is gonan be a ton better.
