I have this problem everytime.........

I'm using the K7N2-L (not delta version), i've tried different mobo drivers etc, but i still occasionally get this buzzing noise coming out the speakers, sometimes it stays sometimes it goes, sometimes i can go days without it being there......

Till now,........... every bloody game i play i get "BUZZZZZ" after about 5 mins......

I think i remember someone mentioning something about the on-board sound having an issue but can't remember, anyone care to enlighten me? :D please...

I think I might know how to solve your problem. I experienced the same problem myself a while back after I installed by brand new K7N2G-L. Try going to www.msicomputer.com and downloading the newest nForce2 chipset drivers. If this does not solve your problem, go to www.nvidia.com and download the nForce2 chipset drivers. I can't remember now which drivers solved the problem, but I think they were the ones from MSI. Good luck.

go to msi's forum you can read the exact way to set it up if you dont have the ILSR version you do not have Nvidia sound its realtek so you need to dl realtek drivers for sound

So the problem is a on-board sound problem then?

mwsku i've tried lots of other drivers and the ones i have are currently running good and i'm not gonna go messing with them just because of a silly noise that comes and goes.......

I'm have a browse around and see if i can get an update for my Realtek sound.......

Thanx for the info guys!

I don't think you wrote it wonk but:
"I would STRONGLY advise aginst not using the 4 pin plug."
that line gave me a headache.

well my advise based on my own experience would be the opposite of that

the 20 pin atx has 1x 12v feed

an atx pin should never have to pass more than 8a

if you dont plug it in and use a vga card like the 5900

you will be overloading that atx pin by at least 50 percent

if its the only 12v feed into the board

Sorry, my problem with that was the grammar actually.
Advising against not doing something, its better to simply say"advise to do".
And I was attempting to be humorous as well; ah... I'm a computer geek who makes grammar jokes, how do I keep the ladies away?
