"C" chip on a P4PE

any one tried a "C" chip on a P4PE yet...

im getting a 2.6C tonight from my friend tonight :D...
im planning on running it on my P4PE while waiting on a canterwood board :( ...

cant order a board yet till friday :mad: ...
 
just got the 2.6C
i'll try running it in a bit on the P4PE bios 1005

i checked asusboards.com but didnt see anything about "C" chip on a P4PE

hope this thing run :D
even with just default speed :D
 
im running 2.6C on my P4PE with Intlel HSF and 512MB Corsiar PC3200 XMS ...
at default speeds right now :D...

havent run benchmarks yet coz its running a litlle hot...
showing CPU@48-50C and MB@32-34C on BIOS but my room temp is hot(not sure how hot) too...

my other comps went up 5C today :(
[i hate hot weather]

ill wait a bit before running benchmarks

remember that the p4pe shows temps about 5-10c higher then it realy is.

yup... my board have that issue...
ill run benchmarks when my room temps go down a bit...
its running @ defaults and no problems so far...
just browsing, no torture test just yet :D...

it didnt have manual option for memory frequency in bios though :(

Hmm perhaps it wont let you run 3:4 or 4:5 as that would be a bit mental on a 200FSB, and that board wont support 4:3 or any of the new divisors like the i865/875 boards do, as it was not designed around 200FSB/DDR400....
 
the "AUTO" mem setting is only at 200+FSB...
if i set it lower than 200, the other choices is back...
