Probably to upgrade your video card to an All In Wonder Radeon/Radeon7500/radeon8500 DV with those prices ranging from 100-400$

Just add on a cheap TV tuner /capture card as I did. I got mine from futureshop.ca here in Canada boxing week for a steal at $50 Canadian which is like $32 US dollars.

Mine is a Win TV Go tuner/capture card. It captures video and allows me to watch cable on my pc as well as FM radio stations. ATI makes a couple of versions , the ATI TV Wonder VE and the ATI TV Wonder, the VE is the value card.

It is great having the ability to watch and record TV shows to my hard drive if I want as well as capture video from my camcorder.

How is the quality on those? And, How does the audio get transferred to the comp? Last question, what is the connection type?

Connection is pci slot if that what you mean, and cable line attaches to the card. Quality is great for me I can not complain, audio line attaches from the TV tuner card to the line in on your sound card.

I recommend it highly , I love watching cable while I got work to do , having it running in a smaller window on my desktop.

i just tested a allinwonder tv caputur

for my dad for his work

it plugs in a usb slot ( and it takes the tipical cable coax ending or svideo )

the picture was the same as tv

it had a recorde function but it was kinda crapy ( small picture on plya back)

other than that it was pretty cool

the only thing i would have like to see
was instead of always on top they need one that would make the "wallpaper" the tv screen

another even cheaper option is see if you can find a voodoo 5 3500 for real cheap on ebay they have tv in
