How do you calculate a transformer's current output if you have no specs to follow? I have a center tap transformer that is suppose to be rated at 9.6vdc @ 1.5amps. this is according to the enclosure it's in. When tested the transformer output is 24 vac before any rectification. I am trying to figure out just how much current it can actually put out. At the center tap it has 12 vac top and bottom. Is there a formula to find the actual current. Thanks. Any help would be great.
