A) My BIOS has a setting that is supposed to reduce radiation emmisions.

B) I took my door off and replaced it with a furnace filter (5 degrees lower temperatures)

C) I sit with my legs about a foot from the "door"

1. If I turn (A) on will that bring emissions down to the same levels as if I left the door on?

2. If I move the PC right next to my butt, (the end of the couch), will I die in a very embarrasing way, and how soon?

3. Does wood do anything to block emissions? It would be easier to make a "cabinet extender" out of plywood than use the metal door without drilling.

hahaha, well the answer to this is no the monitor only emits microwaves and radiowaves (maybe some infrared waves too), none of these cause cancer (to your ***).

yes wood would absorb most of the emmisions (depends on its thickness)
