Can an AMD chip go more than 1 ghz on a asus a7v 133A

Cuz the site says it supports 500 to 1 ghz so if i overclock my 850..can it go over 1 ghz and still maintain its stability? or will it go boom or something

Yeah, it will - the whole point of the KT133a chipset is to support the 133MHz fsb (266 DDR) processors, which are only available at speeds of 1GHz+. Not sure where it said 500 -1000, but that's just wrong (you can't even get socket A processors as slow as 500MHz, I think the duron 550 was the slowest!) :)
