Can anyone make any recommendation for a pair of in-ear headphones?

So my old ones have just gone kaput and I'm hoping to buy a new pair.

I listen to pendulum (drum and bass), little birdy and similar (alternate kinda stuff) and classical.

So! Features that I would love :)

Noise cancellation would be lovely but I don't really need the active cancellation thing, just the rubbery bits will probably be enough.

Nice rich and heavy bass (not like ridiculously low bass but pendulum kinda level).

High quality of sound, clarity mostly

1 lead longer than the other so the wire travels behind your neck (so wire goes from MP3 player to left ear then the wire continues behind your neck to your right ear, if I'm making sense at all :p)

Under 30 quid! Might stretch to 35 but that's only if I have to.

So! Can anyone recommend any? I'll be using them to cycle over to school and to mates houses, possibly for walks if I can be bothered for them :)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

I recently bought the Klipsch S4i set. Love em. They have pretty solid reviews all over the place.

i dont know how much quid is in dollars but the dr dre beats offer great bass and the cable is excellent very long and extremely durable...

i also have the monster turbines they sound better than the beats but with less bass.. more than enough though just not as much as the beats.. i would go for the monster turbines..

but one thing you HAVE TO buy is some comply foam tips no matter what in ear solution you go with nothing compares to these tips....

the turbines didnt seem all that great until i changed the tips omg the bass was so much louder they offer great noise canceling and they mold to you ear so they will never slip out...

when i would go running with the beats i always had a problem with them falling out since the the cord is so heavy but after i upgraded to the comply tips i never had a problem i highly recommend them to anyone that uses in hear earbuds

Both about tripple my budget :(

The ones you recommended are about 100 quid so that should give you a perspective on things. They both look lush but just way to expensive. Thanks for the recommendation

FYI quid = GBP. Silly british people forget that we don't know what the heck those 'squids' are if we don't live in britian or watch top gear. ;)

There are people who... don't watch top gear??? :O
What is this world coming to!

Probably just environmentalists or something. Too busy getting killed trying to stop whale fishing (serves them right!) or picketing to save the south mongolian black mosquito or something else of a stupid nature.

What sheep :p
I walk all the way outside to my car, I'm doing my bit but they still complain!
How ridiculous of them.

You know I heard some of those anti whale goobers got out to the gulf of mexico and caused that rig to explode!

:O Well you've said it on the internet so it must true! :O

What is this world coming to ey? Real disappointment in the human race.

*goes back on topic*

Does anyone here have a pair of http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-...?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1275431668&sr=1-45?

If so is the bass noticable and can you hear the music clearly even in traffic? (I'd like to be able to hear a bit of bass even while cycling next to a bus in traffic).

That's the kinda price range (I would buy it from the 18 new from section for 30 quid). Any other similar ones that someone could recommend?

Kinda put off the skullcandies after quite a bad experience with them.
The sound just seems so... dull. Really poor sound quality but nice bass.
They would be on my list if it wasn't for that.

I bought a pair of Audio Technicas and Sienhiesers and both are amazing. Also check out Amazon for both. I bought both pairs on there for about $30 after shipping.

LMAO.

Honestly the Klipsch phones are $70USD for the non-iphone version, and prolly cheaper on ebay. They sound incredibly nice compared to the competition in the sub $100 range.

I only learned a few things at canjam.

580's are garbage, 600's are meh, 650's are bliss. <-- naturally subjective.

And of all the IEM's I tried, I really really really loved the UM1 by westone. It is the only IEM I like so far. So much that it's what I've asked for for my birthday from the mrs. :)

I'm a hair late on this however i must recommend that if you are still looking to take a look at http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread...mpared-radius-ddm-and-jvc-ha-fx67-added-06-07

It has a lot of the cheaper headphones from the 10-60$USD range and towards the bottom of the reviews he compiles a list that you could easily pick out a few pairs to read the reviews on based on overall rating/value.

Not to late :)
Decided to wait until after my exams before doing anything.

The graph that compares everything is amazingly helpful!
The Head-Direct RE0 sounded nice but then it said it had a lack of bass. That does kinda put me off a bit. Also the fact that I would be breaking my budget by miles :p

Which ones are those? Searched for 580, 600 and 650 in amazon, couldn't find anything relevant apart from a pair of creatvive headphones, are those then ones you're talking about?

Edity: These are earphones I had before.
Obviously nice n cheap but damn they had some pretty nice bass notes :)
Apparently that dudez gives it a pretty low rating which I have to disagree with :p Best pair of earphones I've owned so far.
Now I'm kinda torn between getting this pair again or getting a slightly higher rated pair.

What would peoples here recommend I do? :)

Hey Tinymouse! Hiope your well.

I have a pair of the Sennheiser CX300-II and love them, I had the origonal CX300's before. but these are just that bit better. The thing I noticed most going from chesp hesadphones was clarity. everything sounds much clearer sounds dont get all muddled together when lots is going on. And they have real good bass. Again. nice and clear. I dont even use any EQ as there is enough punch without it. I wouldnt hesitate to buy these again if i can't afford a more expensive pair down the line.

Si

Well my current ones (before I lost them :() were the mark 1s. Might just go for the Mark 2.

I guess clarity isn't amazingly important but what about noise cancelling? Is it any better than the M1?

Thanks for the help :)
