Hi guys, I'm looing at some pre built PCs, and I would like your opinion. I was thinking of going with a Ryzen chip this time, seeing as I have been with intel for like 2 decades
This is my first choice, and I was thinking of having them change the 4070 TI Super to a 4080 Super.

I'm definitely plan to game on it. And I would love to build it myself...this would be the first prebuilt I would purchace in like 20 years. I built and upgraded the last 3 PCs I had. But I have too much crazyness in my life right now. On that website the best X3D chips they have seems to be 79503D. Is that better than the 9950X which comes with that build?

Why 64gb ram 5600mhz? We barely use 16gb for gaming, personally I would switch to 16gb/32gb 6000mhz CL30, trade that 1200w overkill PSU for a 850 platinum, for gaming 7800x3D or 9800x3D, as the 16 core model seems to have scheduler issues still ongoing (because only 8 of the 16 cores use the 3D cache). Maybe get rid of the AIO for a decent air cooler.

If main purpose is productivity, looks good as is dependent on price 👍🏻

The best 3DX CPU they have is Ryzen 9 7950X3D . Is that better than the Ryzen 9 9950X which comes with the prebuilt?I will try to find the 9800X3D elsewhere, but if I can't I will have to go with one of these. Also, what motherboard do you guys recommend for these specs?

In DDR5 era if you care about performance then 32GB (2x 16) is the practical minimum. 8GB DDR5 modules perform worse. I think it is the same mechanism as the 1Rx16 mess that hit DDR4 laptops late in its life that performed much worse than same speed/timing 1Rx8 it replaced. Going to 64GB (2x 32) can give a further performance increase from being 2R, which is what I did on my personal system.

As for CPUs, in gaming performance:

Shown here for 1080p but you can also look up 1440p, 4k.

Note the 8 core X3D versions are generally "best" for pure gaming. The 16 core ones can have some negative impact as power is shared and Windows can do silly things with how it spreads work out around the cores. 12 has that but worse.

Decision can come down to if you want the "best" for gaming, or if you want more cores for other uses outside of gaming. The differences are not zero but they're not that big either.

BTW I just came across this video....might not be a great idea to get a Ryzen 7 9800X3D

I wouldn't worry about it... just like I'm not worrying about the 5090 cables catching fire, lol.

What motherboard would you recommend for this build? I can get a 9800X3D or 9950X3D.
The motherboard on that prebuilt is N7 B650E Wi-Fi

EDIT:
Algorythem is trying to mess with my mind now. It just threw this video in my face lol

That motherboard seems like it would be fine (others may have a different opinion though). Just make sure it is the retail version and not a specific for pre-builts board that won't get any updates.

IIRC, that was based on an ASRock board.... the PG Lighting or something. They are fine to pair with 98/9900X3D.

I also agree with lowering the RAM capacity and increasing speed (DDR5-6000-6400 lowest CL you can find) if you can.

Ok I'm going with 32gb 6000mhz CL30 for RAM you guys mentioned before. If you have any brand or model recommendations let me know.
Also, I decided to change motherboard and go with Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master Motherboard. Is this overkill?
Also, I wanted to get a vertical gpu mount. Does anyone know or have used the PHANTEKS GPUKT 4.0 ARGB? I like that you can actually angle the GPU with it, and the RGB is pretty subtle.

And in terms of cases, I'm trying to decide between the Antec C8 or the NZXT H9
They look almost identical to me. But the C9 seems to have USB 3.2 while the C8 only have USB 3.0
But the C8 has a reset button at the top....which can be handy.

Wouldn't you need the phanteks case for the phanteks device? That vertical mount isnt generic...

Good point...good thing I asked about it here loool
Well my second choice was this. But no RGB

By the way, I was going to get a 360mm AIO with a LCD display.
At first I was considering NZXT Kraken 360 but then I came across GAMDIAS CHIONE E4 360 AIO which is less than half the price.
I watched some reviews and they seem to be possitive. What do you reckon?

Also, what do you think about Antec C8 or the NZXT H9?

I like Gamdias stuff. We just brought it in at Microcenter. :)

I'd rather buy a case with vertical mounting that's native.

No opinion on those cases... haven't used them/seen any reviews.

I may be missing something very basic but wouldn't mounting the GPU vertically block any LCD on your AIO?

Not necessarily...but it depends on the case I guess. I should probably check that. I was trying to decide between the Antec C8 or NZT H9
Here is someone who has their GPU mounted vertically while using an AIO
