In terms of monitors do you guys think I should go with a 2K or 4K monitor?
Realistically I could only play at 2K if I want good fps on modern games.
Tough call... one of personal preference, lol. If you don't mind upscaling to 4K and the potential differences in IQ (which generally is the same, rarely better, rarely worse without actually comparing still photos) go 4K. If you do, then go 2K. If you don't know, check out some IQ reviews for native/dlss/fsr and get an idea.

I gathered that from Woomack's post. ;)

It didn't register that it was the Royales. These are a cheaper option though, lol!

So do you think I should go with the Neos? Royals look a bit better in my opinion, and have several versions, some with much faster speeds. Even up to 6500Mhz But they totally different timings.
Also, which colour RAM sticks do you think would match Asrock Nova motherboard which is black/purple....?

I just bought a rather dated motherboard off Ebay for the new King 95 case simply because of the appearance. I have no clue if it is still relevant by todays standards. https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-x670e-pro-wifi/

Did you consider the Antec Curve? I have come very close to ordering this case a couple of times now. https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811129322
Wow that motherboard looks damn nice!
And I would totally get that Antec case, especially with that wood finish. But I can't find it in Sri Lanka.
I can import some components from UK, but don't want to import a case due to cost and the likelihood of damage.

The only difference is the heatsinks, as the same Hynix memory chips are under them. At least all 6000-6400 CL30 kits use the same Hynix IC, simply because other brands do not have an IC that can make it.
In short, you can buy Royals, but they will cost significantly more, so it's up to you. If you have more money to spend, I recommend a 2x32GB kit as it will be dual-rank, so it will be a bit faster in some calculations. I just listed kits that I find interesting right now.

6000MT/s seems optimal, while the best will be 6400MT/s. However, not every CPU works at 6400 and a 1:1 IMC/IF ratio, so the recommended safe option is 6000 CL30, as it works with everything. Your future motherboard (assuming any ASRock X870E) will support 6400 1:1, so the only question is if the CPU can handle it.
It's just additional information if you wish for something a bit faster. However, you probably won't notice a difference.

Also, I wanted to get a vertical gpu mount. Does anyone know or have used the PHANTEKS GPUKT 4.0 ARGB? I like that you can actually angle the GPU with it, and the RGB is pretty subtle.

i have one... and while it IS in a Phanteks case.... all you need is 7 expansion slots... (technically 6, but the top needs about an extra 1/2 a slot, so i say 7) and enough room for the card (and GPU) of course... it has 3 screws to mount to the case... and 3 screws available for the GPU.

However... with it angled, the 40x0 and 50x0 cards will be awfully close to the motherboard near the RAM due to the extra width.

My bracket is in slots 2-8, but i have 2 more slots below the bracket i could play with when i get a bigger GPU

There is one thing worth mentioning. Most, if not all, cases with PCIe 3.0/4.0 risers won't work with faster PCIe 5.0 cards or in the best case scenario, you will have to manually set PCIe to 3.0/4.0 in BIOS. RTX5060Ti works, RTX5070 or higher does not. I only say that so you won't spend additional money on a vertical mount or an expensive case with a vertical mount for RTX5070Ti. The only case with a confirmed working PCIe 5.0 riser that I know of is HAVN 420 VGPU. However, you can't use Arctic Freezer III AIO in this case. I recommend BeQuiet Silent Loop 3 420.

I don't think I will need 64GB of RAM. The most intensive thing I would be doing is playing video games.
And I don't think you actually read what I wrote or looked at my link. The difference is not just the heatsync. It's the speed and timings.
Just look at this link and tell me which one I should go with. https://www.amazon.co.uk/G-SKILL-Trident-CL32-39-39-102-Desktop-Computer-Silver/dp/B0D5GJJBHC?th=1
And which of the colours do you think would go with the Asrock Nova motherboard. GOLD or SILVER

Bit late to the party bud. Someone told me that's not compatible with the case I wanted days ago lol

Can't I just get a PCIe 5.0 raiser cable to work with that Antec vertical mount? Also I was going to get the Antec C8 or the C8 Curve.

Colors are up to you.... it's your case/innards you need to stare at... our preferences dont really matter.

....you missed his point. ;)

He's saying that, underneath the heatsink they are all the same and use Hynkx ICs and any can run those speeds.

Likely. It's what I'm doing with the Montech 4.0 vertical mount.

Maybe I'm confused...but my link clearly show kits with different speeds and timings.
And I was wondering which one I should go with seeing as I don't really understand timings.
Earlier you guys said I should go with 6000Mhz CL30. I found this speed with the Neos but the Royals have totally different speeds and timings.
This is why I asked which kit I should go with from that Amazon link. FYI the price difference between the Neos and the Royals is like £10 on Amazon.
So I'm not paying a ton more for the same chip.

With RAM, HIGH speeds and LOW timings are better. Outside of the first value in RAM timings (CL or CAS) the rest you 'wouldnt notice' performance-wise.

With that knowledge, you can find a kit that has the fastest speeds for the platform (6000-6400 depending for AMD), lowest timings, color, and price point for your needs.

I think 32GB is fine too for your uses.

I'd pick these - https://www.amazon.co.uk/G-SKILL-Trident-CL32-39-39-102-Desktop-Computer-Silver/dp/B0D7QZ7NWF

I just found 2 more versions of the Royals with different speeds. One is 6000Mhz CL28 and the other is 6400Hhz CL30.
Reckon I should go with one of these instead? I'm going with the Ryzen 9800X3D, which has an "officially supported memory speed of 5600 MT/s" but according to AI they have been overclocked to 8000Mhz lol

Here are the two kits:

no need to be rude

In this thread, i saw that a person (not you) ASKED if it was not compatible due to being a specialized mount... a question is not a definite, just a guide to further research to find out for sure...
Which is why i posted, in case you hadn't already bought a different verticle mount, since you seemed to prefer the one you mentioned....
Of course, if you HAVE bought another one, you still have the option to get the one you originally wanted, and selling or returning the other one.
While i said it is in a phanteks case... there is absolutley nothing preventing it from being used in other brand cases. (except space and slots) especially D11 ripoffs. I checked it in an old Rosewill case, and also the Cosmos 2 case in my sig.

and that's all i have to say about that.

I wasn't trying to be rude. But someone pointed out that bracket is not universal and only supports Phantek cases.
It literally said it in the link I posted, I was just too blind to see lol
I'm surprised it worked on those two boards you mentioned. But I wouldn't risk buying a non-universal mount unless I know someone else has tested the two and know for sure.
It's actually gotten more complicated now because I'm going with a PCIe5 motherboard and most of these vertical mounts are for PCIe4
Now I'm planning to get this Antec mount and get a separate PCIe raiser cable....hope it works.

I noticed some of the kits you linked do not have a EXPO profile. Sometimes it matters...

Also, ask Earthdog for a link to the PCIe 5.0 ribbon cable. The screw mount spacing on various ribbons are all over the map...no standards. The one he is buying is slotted on one end and should cover most brackets.
