Can I get opinions on this build?

Good thing you mentioned that. Some of those kits have Intel XMP and others have AMD EXPO.
That narrows it down for me. I'm going with this. Not sure why the Gold is is like £30 more than the silver tho lol

@EarthDog
What's this PCIe 5.0 ribbon cable? Can you share a link please.

Also, I'm sure you guys have heard about Ryzen chips burning out, mainly on people using Asrock mobos.
I'm was planning to get the Asrock Nova...should I be worried? I haven't seen reports of specifically the Nova & 9800x3d having that issue.
Would be grateful for any insight on this....seeing as this mobo isn't on the cheap side.

So long as they are on your motherboard's memory QVL, that shouldn't matter as AMD supports XMP as well.

Me... I wouldn't worry about it. Chances are slim it will happen to you (out of the 10s of thousands sold, we've seen less than 50, so far, crap out - there's posts here at the forum discussing it). That said, if you're worried, get a different brand mobo.

It's still hard to find any riser designed for PCIe 5.0, so it's good to know there is something available and working ;)

Do you guys have any recommendations for a 850W modular PSU?
I was considering one of these...let me know what you think.
Also, what's the deal with ATX 3.0 vs 3.1....do I have to worry about motherboard compatibility?
The motherboard I'm going with is the Asrock Nova.

Either will work just fine. The Corsair is the higher quality of the two, but you wouldn't notice a difference. Both PSUs are 3.1/5.1 so you're set for now and the future.

I think you'll need a beefy GPU to play games on that...it's not 4K, but it's higher than 2560x1440. I don't recall what GPU you were thinking about (this build thread has nearly 100 posts, almost 1.5 months old and counting...), but check out reviews for that card and see how it performs at 1440 and 4K and see if that's what you'd want.

I got the 5070Ti but I doubt I will get that monitor due to the price. And I was "considering" an ultrawide because the guy who sold me the GPU actually had that monitor and it ran Cyberpunk and Spiderman 2 at max settings fine. But I think getting a 240Hz monitor is a waste for me. I'm definitely not going to get 200+ FPS with max settings in most modern games.
I'm actually concerned about getting an ultrawide though....because I do use my PC to listen to music and watch videos. And most media, and even most games doesn't support ultrawide aspect ratio natively. What's your opinion on this...have you used an ultrawide on a daily rig?

The other option I have here in SL in terms of an OLED ultrawide is this.

I have a 240 Hz monitor because that's what it came in. As long as it is higher than needed you don't have to run it at max all the time. I typically target between 60-100 fps in games.

I used to use one. Originally bought for one game to give it more of a cinematic effect, but it doesn't necessarily help in all games. For desktop work I ended up using it as two half screens. Most media being 16:9 will not look great on it, but if you do consume wider content it can help. A problem might be some wide content is hard baked into 16:9 container so you end up with a pillarboxed letterbox content and it can be a pain to try to "zoom" into the actual content. Personally I wouldn't get another screen wider than 16:9 unless some use case comes up for it where it makes sense to me.
