I took my P4/1.3Ghz to have it overclocked, and was
told it's not possible because it's an Intel motherboard
and they have fixed it so it can't be overclocked.
Is this accurate? If the machine can be overclocked, then by how much and how is it done? The motherboard is an Intel Desktop D850GB
Thanks in advance...

It's true Intel boards are not as overclockable as most others, but I have a hard time believing there's NO room for OC'ability.

Can you change the FSB in your bios or the jumpers on the board?

It's probably true about the Intel motherboard, however, the Asus i850 chipset motherboard is definitely overclockable. Those P-4 1.3 gig chips are suppose to run quite well up to about 1.7 gig from what I've read.
