I need to speed up my ram and after looking at prices it seems that a good quality stick of 512mb 3200 is cheaper than a no name brand stick of 2700? You can see in my sig what I'm running, not the greatest but still does the job just fine, if I would be able to run 3200 with this set up? Even if Im not going to get the most out of the 3200 I rather save the $20-40 and spend it somewhere else?

Oops...sorry bout that. here ya go. I would also like to know how big of an improvement would an ATI 9600XT be over my current gpu? And would getting a 9800PRO be a waste of money for me, if the 9600XT isnt going to be a good upgrade?

aah... no. you won't be able to run your memory at 400mhz when your controller only handles 200/266, that would be some crazy memory overclocking. but, yes buy the pc3200 because it is cheaper (more of them out there) and just in case you upgrade you mobo later you don't have to buy ram again.
