You might be able to get a firmware upgrade to speed up your burner. Google would be a good place to start.

ok it says on my cdrw was manufactured by TOP-G o and i read that thread.
edit: the model number is drcdrw161040

I believe your burner is made by Acer (Benq). This may be your drive here http://www.benq.com/storage/legacy/storage_1610a.html . Try doing some research over at www.cdfreaks.com to see if your firmware can be upgraded.

I found out that the drive is made by BTC the model number being BCE 1610IM. Would anyone have any info on this one maybe.
